Naval tradition defines a Plank Owner is an individual who is a member of the crew when a ship is being built and commissioned. In 2011-2013, OHPRI seeks 354 Plank Owners at four levels of participation to help build the largest active education at sea tall ship in the U.S. operated by a nonprofit organization.

Full subscription in the OHP Plank Owner Program will secure $1.625 million in philanthropic and in-kind support needed (combined with a $1.5 million credit facility and a $3.825 million Shipbuilding Syndicate Members) to complete construction and commission the most advanced education at sea school ship in the U.S. for the benefit of our next generation of young people, mariners and marine tradesmen and women.

• OHP Plank Owner may make a pledge over a two-year period (2009 & 2010 or 2010 & 2011)
• OHP Plank Owner benefits are subject to the successful construction of the SSV Oliver Hazard Perry, its USCG certificate of inspection (COI),  and all other applicable government rules and regulations.
• Annual OHP Plank Owner Reunion Reception ticket prices are not included and prices are set annually.
