Oliver Hazard Perry is Rhode Island's own sail training Tall Ship, allowing our state to showcase a three-masted, full-rigged ship among the schooners of other states.

With this extraordinary vessel we proudly proclaim Rhode Island's maritime heritage, commerce and commitment to the people of our Ocean State.

Completion will take place in Newport at a location accessible for public viewing, encouraging interest in the ship as well as marketing opportunities for her programs and capabilities.
The ship is named for Newport Naval hero Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry,
with commissioning planned for 2010.
